We drove over to Estes Park last week and camped for 2 nights at Moraine Park. Along with our friend Wes, Mark and I finally did a long hike up to a peak on Flat Top Mountain, about 12,300 feet above sea level. It was about 81/2 miles round trip with a 2,800 foot change in elevation. It was a tough hike but totally worth it in the end.
Our friends Mike and Melanie met us the second day and we did a more flat hike past Nymph Lake and ended at Dream Lake (shown in the photo). The scenery on that side of the park is amazing. Definitely one of my favorite adventures so far this summer.
